PhotoStory

I took some shots of some home grown flowers and made them into a bouquet for my photo story. I still need to narrow down my selection, and these are without editing. Let me know what you think.

I would like to select one out of these three to start my photo story

  1. Beautiful flower photos Etta. Guess I'll critique away.

-I personally like photo #1 to start with. It has good lighting and the scissors look like they're sitting naturally and not so staged.
-I think your photos tell the basic story of birth, life, and finally death. They seem to be arranged in the correct order to tell that story as well. I'm not sure you could arrange them in any different order. The photos of the process of putting the bouquet together work well within that sequence as well.
-I really like the natural sunlight in #14 even though the flowers appear to be on the cusp of dying.

    Good luck!

  2. I like your concept. I personally prefer photo 3. I understand what Amanda said about the scissors looking staged but I like how in the 3rd photo there isn't anything competing in the background. I feel that the driveway is a bit distracting in the first photo and the jar looks so tiny. I love how photo 8 will add to the story by showing a clear step. As far as a finished product photo goes I like 11 the best again because of the lack of distracting background. Of course these are just my opinions. I look forward to seeing the final result.

  3. This is absolutely awesome. It is straightforward and easy to follow so now you can just concentrate on making the changes. Be careful about using too many images. It can become very overwhelming to try to manipulate more than you need to.

These photographs are excellent and I hope you have a lot of fun experimenting with them.
